A Little About Us

Hello you! I am so glad that you are here 😉. I am Marcia Deah, co-founder of Therapeutic iDeahs. My husband, Clyde Deah (co-founder), and I opened Therapeutic iDeahs because we both have the same passion … to help others. We strive for our space to be open, welcoming, and laid back. We want you to know, while we are experts in our prospective fields, we are humans first. Our practice is set up to make you feel comfortable when you enter the therapeutic space so you can relax and be you!

Marcia Deah, MA, MS, LMFT-A

My story begins as far back as I can remember. Growing up in a blended family with the world’s best parents (I know, I’m biased lol) I have always had a heart for helping others. My parents taught my brothers and I if you have it, you always should help others, you never know when you will be the one in need. Their big hearts overflow and continue to pour so much love into me that it continues to spill into others. I decided to embark on a journey to help people the best way I can.

I began my career in 2014 as a intern in a residential treatment facility in Quincy, IL while finishing my undergraduate with my Bachelor’s degree in Human Services from Quincy University (2015). As I grew in my career, I grew in curiosity. I began to wonder, How can I grow my expertise to better help others?. This curiosity led me to my first graduate school, Liberty University. I graduated with my Master of Arts in Human Services Counseling, Specialization in Christian Ministries (2017). This open doors that I never imagined and eventually led me to my true passion, Couples/Family Therapy. I became a certified Systemic Couples and Family Therapist (2023). Next, I graduated with my second Master’s Degree (Master of Science) in Marriage and Family Therapy (2024). I am now a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate (LMFTA) supervised by Dr. Ashley McErlean, LMFT-S (TX License #202535).

I believe in my heart that my purpose on this Earth is to help families learn, heal, and grow the same way my parents instilled in me since I was a little girl. I want to inspire others to work through their trauma no matter how big or small it may seem. EVERYONE regardless of their race, ethnicity, age, gender, sexual orientation, identification, socioeconomic factors, etc. deserves to be treated with equity and with the greatest fruit of all, LOVE❤️

Clyde Deah, QMHP

I want to introduce myself in the most genuine and authentic way, so you can truly understand the passion behind the work my wife and I do.

My name is Clyde Deah, and I'm simply a man who spends his days showing love, care, and consideration to others. I find immense joy in this—it’s an amazing feeling to know that you’ve made someone’s day better just by showing a little kindness!

I embarked on my career journey in the mental health field in 2017, after, I have held various service-oriented jobs over the years. These experiences taught me that the human mind is complex and multifaceted. As I deepened my understanding of mental health, I couldn't help but wonder about the intricacies of the body as well. I began to see the body and mind as one interconnected whole and became passionate about helping people understand this connection. I am presently pursuing an education to become a licensed massage therapist, with the aspiration of ultimately becoming a chiropractor.

With my wife’s brilliance and passion for healing the mind, and my own strong dedication to healing the body, we have come together to create a comprehensive plan for helping others both mentally and physically. Our mission is to change the way healing is approached by changing the way you view therapy. We are committed to delivering this through our services.
